Studded nails

Hello nail art lovers! :D

Today I am going to show you a manicure I wore last year, but didn't have the chance to show it on the blog. I had Gelix on my ring finger's nail and I had just received the studs so I wanted to make a "rock" manicure. I painted the rest of my nails red, because I like the color combo and added the studs on the accent nails. I loved how it turned out! :D

Azi am sa va arat o manichiura pe care am purtat-o anul trecut, dar nu am avut ocazia sa o prezint pe blog. Am avut Gelix pe unghia de la inelar si tocmai ce primisem tintele asa ca am ales sa fac o manichiura "rock". Am pictat restul unghiilor rosii, deoarece imi place mult cominatia de culori, si am adaugat tinte pe unghiile accent. Mi-a placut mult rezultatul! :D

Barbie nails

Since Christmas is that time of the year when it's most likely for us to think about childhood (the way Santa Clause used to visit us and leave us gifts, the toys we received that made us happy, the joyful moments with our family etc.) I thought it was about time I brought something a little more childish to the blog: Barbie nails! :D

Deoarece Craciunul este acea perioada a anului in care este cel mai probabil ca noi sa ne amintim de copilarie (modul in care Mos Craciun ne vizita si ne aducea cadouri, jucariile pe care le primeam si ne faceau fericiti, momentele minunate petrecute alaturi de familie etc.) m-am gandit sa aduc putin aer de copilarie si pe blog: unghiute Barbie! :D

Getting into the Christmas spirit!

Hello! :D
I'm starting to get the "Chritsmasy" feeling everyone has been talking about lately so I decided to create a manicure that fits the theme. I was inspired by cranberries - I ate a whole bunch lately ^_^ - so my manicure has the specific colors of those lovely fruits (red and green) and a touch of blue, just cause I like the combo. :P

Am inceput si eu sa simt ca se apropie Craciunul, senzatia despre care toata lumea vorbeste in ultima vreme, asa ca am decis sa creez o manichiura care sa se potriveasca cu aceasta tema. Am fost inspirata de merisoare - am mancat o gramada in ultima vreme ^_^ - asa ca manichiura mea are culorile specifice acestor minunate fructe (rosu si verde) si putin albastru, pentru ca-mi place combinatia. :P

Snowy days...

I love snow! I love it's texture, the way it melts on my hands, the sensation I have when I see it... Everything! I don't even mind if it's freezing outside if there is snow there as well!

Winter is my favorite season due to it so I decided to add it on my nails, as a "juju spell" (not really but hey, if it works I'm happy ^_^ ) to bring snow to the city (take that snow haters! >:P ).

Iubesc zapada! Iubesc textura ei, felul in care se topeste in mainile mele, senzatia pe care o am cand o vad... Totul! nu ma deranjeaza nici cel mai aprig ger daca este si zapada afara!

Iarna este sezonul meu preferat datorita ei, asa ca am decis sa o adaug pe unghiutele mele, ca un fel de "vraja juju" (poate nu chiar ca asta, dar daca functioneaza, sunt fericita ^_^ ) sa aduca zapada in oraselul meu ( in ciuda celor care detesta zapada! >:P ).

Am ratat provocarea de saptamana trecuta (T.P.A Group Challenge: 13. Inspired by cupcakes) deoarece am avut o saptamana aglomerata si avusesem deja prajiturele pe unghii de ziua mea, dar, in aceasta saptamana, mi-am facut din timp manichiura si va pot arata interpretarea mea pentru "unghii vintage".

T.P.A. Group Challenge: 12. Inspired by... bow nails!

Almost on time... this time! :D
This week we had a fun and easy challenge - to create a manicure inspired by bows!
I decided to choose two bright colors and a matte top coat and add bows made out of little plastic hearts and small round rhinestones. I really like the result! ^_^

Aproape la timp... de data asta! :D
In aceasta saptamana am avut o provocare simpla si amuzanta - sa creem o manichiura inspirata de fundite!
Am decis sa aleg doua culori puternice si un top coat mat si sa adaug fundite facute din inimioare micute din plastic si pietricele rotunde. Imi place mult rezultatul! ^_^

Birthday Nails 2013

Hey everyone!
I got my laptop repaired (finally) and even though I had a busy week (my birthday was this Tuesday), I managed to paint my nails twice so I'm gonna show you two manicures today! :D

T.P.A. Group Challenge: 11. Inspired by lollipop nails

Another week, another short post!
My laptop is going to the "doctor" on Wednesday and I didn't have time to take pictures during the day so they're a bit blurry. Sorry. I promise to take better ones of the future manicures!
Also, my nails are of different sizes and shapes, due to the course I'm taking (they're making "experiments" on my nails :(( ) so please focus on the nail art, not on my manicure! :o3

O noua saptamana, o noua postare!
Laptopul meu va merge la "doctor" miercuri si nu am avut timp sa fac poze in timpul zilei asa ca pozele au o calitate mai slaba. Imi pare rau. Promit sa fac poze mai bune viitoarelor manichiuri!
De asemenea, unghiile mele au diferite forme si dimensiuni, datorita cursului pe care il fac (fetele fac "experimente" pe unghiile mele :(( ) asa ca va rog sa va uitati la model, nu la manichiura! :o3

T.P.A. Group Challenge: 10. Inspired by an animal

Hey everyone!
I'm late again, my laptop isn't fixed and I'm incredibly tired so this is gonna be a really short post.
The theme was "inspired by an animal" and I wanted to be somewhat unconventional again so I painted my nails in pink, drew some sheep on a few of them and added some velvet powder on others. I also added some glitter above the sheep, to make the nails even more funky. ^_^

Am intarziat din nou cu postarea, laptopul meu nu e reparat si sunt extrem de obosita asa ca aceasta va fi o postare foarte scurta.
Tema din aceasta saptamana a fost "inspirata de un animal" si am vrut sa aleg ceva mai neconventional din nou, asa ca mi-am pictat unghiile roz, am desenat niste oi pe cateva dintre ele si am adaugat praf de catifea pe aletele. De asemenea am adaugat sclipici deasupra oitelor, sa le fac si mai diferite. ^_^

Saptamana aceasta am inceput un curs de unghii tehnice (unghii cu gel) si am vrut sa va arat prima mea incercare. Ce parere aveti? :D

Painted Nail Art Stickers (Tutorial)

Hello!
As I promised in my previous post, today I am going to show you how to make stickers for your nails, using acrylic paint and a clear nail polish. :D

Buna!
Dupa cum v-am promis in postarea anterioara, astazi am a va arat cum sa faceti abtibilduri pentru unghii, folosind vopsea acrilica si un lac de unghii transparent. :D

First of all, this is what you need:

a. a nail art stamp or a normal rubber (not shiny)

b. acrylic paint

c. nail art brushes

d. a clear nail polish (I forgot to take a photo of it -_-" )

In primul rand, aveti nevoie de:

a. o stampila pentru nail art sau o radiera normala (sa nu fie lucioasa)

b. vopsea acrilica

c. pensule pentru nail art

d. un lac de unghii transparent (am uitat sa-l includ in poza -_-" )

 And here are the steps to having original nail art stickers! :D
Si aici sunt pasii pentru a avea abtibilduri originale pentru unghii! :D

1. Draw the contour lines of the image you want onto the stamp/rubber.

1. Desenati conturul imaginii pe care o doriti pe suprafata stampilei/radierei.

2. Fill in the colors (be careful, acrylic paint dries fast on this surface so you have to move quickly and carefully, not to ruin the contour lines)

2. Colorati imaginea (aveti grija, vopseaua acrilica se usuca repede pe aceasta suprafata asa ca trebuie sa va miscati repede si cu grija, sa nu stricati conturul).

3. Wait for the painting to dry out completely (about 1-2 minutes)

3. Asteptati ca pictura sa se usuce complet (aproximativ 1-2 minute).

4. Cover it with a thin layer of clear nail polish. Don't worry about the edges, paint 1-2 millimeters over the edge of the painting. :D

4. Acoperiti-o cu un strat subtire de lac transparent. Nu va ingrijorati cu privire la margini, depasiti-le cu 1-2 milimetrii. :D

5,6,7. Grab a pair of tweezers and, after the nail polish dried, grab one of its corners and gently pull the sticker off the stamp/rubber. 

5,6,7. Dupa ce s-a uscat lacul incolor, prindeti unul dintre colturile abtibildului cu ajutorul unei pensete si dezlipiti-l de stampila/radiera.

8. Apply a top coat on your nail (if you used nail polish on it, like I did, be sure it's dry) and put the sticker on the nail, pressing gently, to remove any air particles from under it. Afterwards, seal it with another layer of top coat and you're done! ^_^

8. Aplicati un strat de top coat pe unghie (daca e vopsita, asteptati ca lacul de unghii sa fie complet uscat) si pueti abtibildul pe unghie, apasand usor, pentru ca toate partiulele de aer sa iasa de sub el. Apoi, sigilati-l cu inca un strat de top coat si sunteti gata! ^_^

T.P.A. Group Challenge: 8. Inspired by Cartoons

Hey everyone! ^_^
This week we had a very fun challenge: cartoons! :D
It was very hard for me to choose one cartoon that I loved and paint it on my nails, since I was an avid consumer of Cartoon Network shows, back in the 90's, and I watched almost all the cartoons that they aired (except for "Courage, the Cowardly Dog" - I hated that one).

In aceasta saptamana avem o provocare foarte amuzanta: desene animate! :D
A fost foarte greu pentru mine sa aleg un singur desen animat pe care l-am iubit si sa-l pictez pe unghiile mele, deoarece am fost o consumatoare avida a desenelor de pe Cartoon Network, in anii 90', si am vazut cam toate desenele animate pe care le-au difuzat pe-atunci (exceptie facand "Courage, the Cowardly Dog" - l-am urat pe acela).

T.P.A. Group Challenge: 6. Inspired by tattoos

This challenge is getting more and more... challenging!
I've been thinking all week about this design and in the end I just sketched something and took some pictures. I don't know what happened to my inspiration, but this week wasn't the best from this point of view.

Aceasta provocare ma pune la incercare din ce in ce mai mult!
M-am gandit la aceasta tema toata saptamana pentru ca, in final, sa fac un model rapid si sa-i fac doar cateva poze. Nu stiu ce s-a intamplat cu inspiratia mea, dar saptamana aceasta nu a fost cea mai buna din acest punct de vedere.

This Saturday I will show you a manicure inspired by a country. At the beginning I wanted to paint something representative for England, one of my favorite countries, but, afterwards, I decided to challenge myself and be a little more creative, so I chose Japan (a country with one of the most fascinating cultures in the world!)

La inceput am vrut sa pictez ceva reprezentativ pentru Anglia, una dintre tarile mele preferate, dar, am decis sa aleg ceva mai dificil, care sa ma puna la incercare si sa fiu mai creativa, asa ca am ales Japonia (o tara a carei cultura este una dintre cele mai fascinante din lume!)

Nails in Chains

Hello! :D
Today I went to a Nail Art Salon to talk to a real nail art technician about a course I'd like to attend. I didn't want to go there with chipped nail polish on my nails so I stayed up late last night and came up with this manicure! ^_^
(Honestly, waiting for the polish to dry took longer than the whole process :P )

Azi am mers la un salon de manichiura sa vorbesc cu o profesionista in ceea ce priveste tehnicile de Nail Art in legatura cu un curs pe care as vrea sa-l urmez. N-am vrut sa ma prezint cu lacul de unghii ciobit pe ici, pe colo asa ca am stat treaza pana tarziu, noaptea trecuta, si mi-am facut aceasta manichiura! ^_^
(Sincer, a durat mai mult sa se usuce lacul decat sa pregatesc restul manichiurii :P )
