July's Nail Challenge - Negative Space

Hello, nail art lovers!

As you can see from the title, this week's challenge was to do a manicure with some negative space. I dislike this type of nail art because I like nails fully polished, however, I decided to give it a chance and interpret it in my own way. ^_^

I did a twist on the classic french manicure, that also contains some negative space, as it is.  :D
The inspiration for my manicure is more interesting than the manicure itself, so please read on, to find out what it was and keep an eye on my blog for a post explaining everything!

May's Nails Challenge - Happy Easter

Hello and Happy Easter to those who celebrate it! ^_^

This week I don't have many words for you and I don't have many pictures, either, but I hope I can compensate next week.

March's Nails Challenge - Vintage

Hello, nail art lovers!

Today we have a new challenge - Vintage nails! I've had this manicure ready for about a month, but I didn't intend to use it at this theme, at first. Anyway, I think it fits the theme pretty well so, here they are - my pink vintage nails:

Nail Art Marathon 2015 - 22.Blobbicure

A new week, a new manicure! :D

This week theme's a combination between Andreea's idea - blobbicure, and my enthusiasm regarding Halloween and everything related to this celebration. :P

Nail Art Marathon 2015 - 13. Beach Scene

Woohoo! I made it on time for my own theme! Hahaha!

Ok, so, as you can see, this week I had the privilege to choose the theme and I decided to suggest that the girls have beach scenes on their nails. Originally, my idea was to paint a beautiful sunset on the beach with two lovers looking at it, but since my nails are half the size they were when I thought of that I had to change it.

I still couldn't let my short nails appear on my blog right at this moment so I filed some plastic tips to match my nails and I painted on them instead. ^_^

Nail Art Marathon 2015 - 11. Sea Shells

Hey everyone!

Sorry for the late post! I've recently moved out (last Saturday) and I'm attempting to become a grown-up *giggles* so I didn't have time to make this post or to do my nails... I don't have a stable internet connection so my posts may be delayed. Again, I'm sorry!

Last week's theme was Iulia's idea and, as you can see from the title, it's related to sea shells. I love sea shells and I had a cool idea on my mind, but packing and unpacking did not give me much free time to get creative. This is what I came up with:

Nail Art Marathon - 2. Galaxy Nails

"Take me to your place in space
I'm simply tired of mad rage
On a rocket ship, no time to wait
I just want to gravitate"
~ Galaxy by WAR

Hello everyone! This week is a very "spacey" week since Andra Kat's second choice in the Nail Art Marathon is "galaxy nails".
I have tried this technique before and I loved it every time. It's dark enough to satisfy my "dark side" and bright/glittery enough to make my girly side go "weeee!". :D

Nail Art Marathon 2015 - 1. Favorite Nail Polish

Hello!

This week is a special week because we decided, together with the girls from the Polish Addicts group, to start a new collaboration, entitled "Nail Art Marathon 2015". :D
Why is it called this way? Well, without wanting to spoil it for you, I'm going to tell you that it will last till the end of the year. Yes, that's right, the last post will be on the last Saturday of December 2015. ^_^

Each of us (17 bloggers) came up with two ideas - one for a theme and one for technique - which will be posted separately in two consecutive weeks. Here is a banner with all the themes, in case you are curious:

This week we have one of Andra Kat's ideas, namely "Favorite Nail Polish". It was really hard for me to choose only one, so selected two polishes from two brands that I fancy - China Glaze  and O.P.I. and two types of nail polish - regular (shimmery) and textured. Of course, the colors are two of my favorites, as well. ^_^

Shiny textured holiday nails

Hello everyone!

Today's manicure is inspired by the movie "Frozen" and includes a short review of one of the new Avon nail polish collections, called "Stardust". The shade I have is called "Teal Glitter" and, in my opinion, resembles Elsa's dress's color. :D

Anyway, I used this nail polish in a combination with one of my new favorites - Astor VIP Silver - and created a design on one of the nails, using nail art tape.

Pastel winter

Hey everyone!!!!
First of all, I'm sorry for my absence but my schedule was pretty busy these two weeks and I wore the same nails for a very long time (I'm surprised they didn't chip at all).
Second, today I will show you a manicure that I love and will probably recreate sooner or later. Even my mom, who usually disapproves of my nail art, thought they look pretty and asked me to recreate it on her nails... twice! *shocking*

Anyway...... Ta-dah! My nails! :D

Alphabet nail art challenge - Letter P for.. Poison

Soooo... letter P... poison!
Yeah... not much to say about this theme since it was a last moment idea (again). ^_^

I used a holographic nail polish as a base, then a matte top coat to obtain the smoky effect. I drew the vials using acrylic paint and the "poison" is painted using textured nail polishes. I love the color explosion! ^_^

The nails on my right hand are really short compared to my left hand but they're growing slowly so I decided to show them to you anyway. :D

And now... this week's disaster! :(
My thumb's nail broke in two, as you can see, and nothing from superglue to tea bags & clear nail polish could fix it... In the next posts you will see how it looks after I reconstructed it using gel.  (Temporary thing, until my natural nail grows back)

That's about it for today, I made the post on time (hooray!) so you can go and see what idea the other bloggers had! :D

2 years of blogging! :D

Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to yooou,
Happy Birthday, dear BLOG, Happy Birthday to yooooou!

Two years of blogging flew so fast! :D
I want to celebrate this day with a manicure that can easily go by as "glam" but is also cute enough to be worn at any occasion...
