Creative Nails Collab - Flowers

Hello nail art lovers,

Today's theme would have been very predictable for spring, however... winter surprised us once more with it's presence. Even so, I still decided to brighten my nails with pretty colors and here's the result:

Creative Nails Collab - Welcome Spring

Hello nail art lovers,

Spring is... calendaristically speaking, here! However, the weather disagrees. It has been snowing all week and the temperature reached -16° Celsius here.

Anyway, I was hoping to "summon" warmer weather (not that I don't like snow - I love it! - but most people complain about it) with this manicure so I used a pastel color as a base and painted little flowers over it.

Saturday’s Theme – First Day of Summer

Hello, nail art lovers!

Today's theme wasn't as challenging as others and we had the liberty of choosing what we do on our nails, so I went for a recreation of something I had found on Pinterest not long ago, which you can see here - done by @serkova_nail.

Saturday's Theme - Cherry Blossoms

Hello again, nail art lovers!

Spring is in the air and there are pretty flowers everywhere! Wow, look at me making a rhyme...
As you might know, I'm not a big fan of spring and flowers, however, I do like the color pink. The flowers we had to paint today, cherry blossoms, vary from white to fuchsia, so I managed to play a bit with these colors. Here's what I came out with:

April's Nails Challenge - Pretty in Polka Dotts

Hello, nail art lovers!

What's new? How have you been?
This week was tiring and frustrating for me, and I managed to break a nail, as well, so I had to file all of them down, a bit. My manicure for thsi theme was done since last week, but I went to bed right after doing it and woke up with the worst smudged nails, ever! I only found time ro redo them after I filed them down and even though I did not keep all the original elements, I like how it turned out.

The theme, as you can see, it " Pretty in Polka Dots", so I chose to mix polka dots with flowers and a lady Polar Bear that feels pretty, since yesterday was Earth Day.

April’s Nails Challenge - Flower Power

A new week, a new challenge, a new manicure!

As you've probably noticed, I don't have many floral manicures since floral patterns are not really my thing. This time I was actually considering skipping this challenge until I received a package from Born Pretty Store, which contained, among other awesome things, these lovely round pieces of neon glitter. ^_^

That's when inspiration hit me!

Nail Art Marathon - 7. Flowers

Hello everyone!
This week was a great week for me! I graduated from University, Law school, and I made a few new friends. I painted my nails in a way that matched my outfit for the last exam and Madalina's idea was really fit for this.

I have another idea for flowery nails, suggested by my lovely boyfriend but I will show that one to you later this month. :D

And now... my nails! ^_^

Nail Team Challenge - Floral

Ola! :D

This Saturday is going to be very flowery, thanks to Kinga who chose the 14th challenge. ^_^
Even thought the collaboration was postponed with a week, I'm not entirely satisfied with the manicure I made for this theme. To be honest, I made 3 flowery manicures, but this is the only "presentable" one. :/

Nail Team Challenege - Negative Space Nails

This week out challenge continues with another untried type of nail art in my case - negative space. I was never a fan of this type of nail art but I'm glad that Madalina  "made" me try it. I kinda like the girly result! :D

Alphabet nail art challenge - Letter B... for Bambi (wannabe)

Ok, so I'm late with the post... But there's a good reason for that!!! I umm... was away for a week, and even though I had my laptop and my camera with me, I wasn't able to use them - my camera's battery died and well, making a picture-less post on a nail art blog would have been weird...

"So yeah, here is my manicure - oh wait, you can't see it! Well... we have some green, brown..."

No. Anyway, taaa-daaaah! my manicure inspired by the letter B.... for Bambi! :D

T.P.A Group Challenge: 17. Hippie nails

Late night post... old habits die hard! :P
Tonight I'm going to show you a manicure inspired by the HIPPIE "trend" that started way back in the 1960s and survived up to this point. It's a lot more than a trend, actually - for some people it's a lifestyle and for others is an inspiration.
The hippie "style" is characterized by bright colors, flowery patterns, stripes, dots, peace signs, musical notes and everything that suggests FREEDOM, so I decided to paint my nails as bright as possible, with a lot of patterns, colors and almost everything that I can relate to HAPPINESS. :D

O postare tarzie in noapte, cum aveam obiceiul sa fac mai demult! :P

The Polishes Challenge: 8. Newest

Hello everyone! It's Wednesday and it's time for a new manicure from the Untried Polishes Challenge! ^_^
This week I went for a simple look since I had to use the newest nail polish I've bought - Astor Fashion Studio 136 - and because of the color of this nail polish - green - I could only think of fields and flowers.

I recently bought some delicate orange dried flowers from the local nail art boutique and I thought this was the perfect chance for me to use them. I had a bit of trouble sticking them to the nail but in the end I loved how the manicure turned out.

Anyway, enough with the ranting, here are some pictures:

Happy Summer Flowers

Hello everyone! ^_^

My first post on this blog, almost a year ago, was about a summer manicure with flowers. Since my blog's anniversary will be in 5 days (OMG, already???) , I decided to paint something bright, colorful , which would fit into the same theme - flowers! :D

Also, another thing that inspired me was this contest I found on a fellow Romanian blogger, Miss Happy - Madalina's blog. The theme is "Summer". If you're from Romania and you love painting your nails, you still have time to enter! :D

Ok, enough talking for now, here are some more pictures:

The Polishes Challenge: 4.Neutral

Hello! Today is Wednesday so it's time for another challenge!
This time, it's all about neutral colors. ^_^

I'm not really a fan of neutral colors but I did my best.
On my left hand I used some stickers I've had for a while but never got the chance to use and on my left hand I just did a random pattern using a string. I hope you like them! :D

Cherry Blossom Nails

This is my latest entry for Tip Top's contest. The theme was "Flowers" and the colors we were allowed to use were pink, purple, maroons and nudes and green for leaves. I'm not very fond of flowers so, the first thing that came to my mind were Cherry Blossom Trees, which have cute, discreet flowers and represent spring, in Japan.

For the Chinese the cherry blossom is a very significant symbol of power. Typically it represent a feminine beauty and sexuality and often holds an idea of power or feminine dominance. Within the language of herbs and herbal lore of the Chinese the cherry blossom is often the symbol of love.

For the Japanese the cherry blossom holds very different meaning. The cherry blossom is a very delicate flower that blooms for a very short time. For the Japanese this represents the transience of life. This concept ties in very deeply with the fundamental teachings of Buddhism that state all life is suffering and transitory. The Japanese have long held strong to the Buddhist belief of the transitory nature of life and it is very noble to not get too attached to a particular outcome or not become emotional because it will all pass in time.

You can read more about them here: Sakura

I used only two shades of pink, one from Avon and one from Maybeline Colorama and combined them to obtain other shades and I combined a bit of blue, for the light purple background.

I drew the branches with a thin brush and I used the dotting tool to create the flowers.

Enjoy! ^_^

Garden nails

In the weekend I helped my parents a bit in the garden and the plants inspired me to paint this set of nails...

The colors are bright and the shapes are like crawling plants with small flowers (dots). I also used a little glitter to make it look like they have spines. :)

For the green/aqua nails I used a combination between Green Park and Urban Turquoise from Maybeline and I used Avon's Color Trend - Ice Sheers as a top coat to make them a bit more pearly.
For the other nails I used Urban Coral from Maybeline and a shiny top coat from the same brand.
The lines and shapes were made with special nail art polishes from Umbrella ( No. 20 and 25). I used a thin brush and I let my imagination flow... ^_^

I think they turned out pretty well for how "much" effort I put into them... :)

P.S. A huuuuuuuuge "Thank you!" goes to my boyfriend for lending me his phone to take pictures of the nails... ^_^

Happy Flowery Nails

Okay, so, for my first post I chose the manicure I am currently wearing, inspired by the fact that I finished my exams and I am finally in vacation... ^_^ Freedom!!!

I was really happy so I chose two colors and a flowery pattern ( easily made with a small stick or one of those special manicure things with round edges). I don't like my nails to be all alike so I draw freely instead of using stamps or stickers.

The Nail Polish I used was "Mini Colorama" from Maybeline - Party Blue and a combination between Dark Plum and French White ( I did not have light purple).

For the purple flowers I used the same brand - Dark plum, for the pink flowers I combined French White with Ultra Violet, for the white ones I used French White. For the dark blue ones I used Azure from Rimmel. :)

Top coat: Express Manicure from Maybeline.

The flowers are quite easy to make - just make four small dots like a clover and one more in the center. You can make more petals if you want, but I thought they looked cuter like this... ^_^

Also, I enjoy having a contrast between my nails so you will rarely see the same pattern on both my hands. It's a little random thing that defines my personality, I guess...

Anyway, I hope you like it and I'm sorry for the bad quality of the pictures, but until I get someone with a good camera to take pictures of my nails, my phone will have to do the job... *blushes*

I have a stack of photos  with other manicures  so there's more to come...

Bye bye! ^_^
