April’s Nails Challenge - Flower Power

A new week, a new challenge, a new manicure!

As you've probably noticed, I don't have many floral manicures since floral patterns are not really my thing. This time I was actually considering skipping this challenge until I received a package from Born Pretty Store, which contained, among other awesome things, these lovely round pieces of neon glitter. ^_^

That's when inspiration hit me!

Nail Art Marathon - 6.Lead-light

Hey there!

This Saturday is all about bright colors in sheer tints!
Oana's idea for this week was to use the lead-light technique and I did it... my way! :P

Since I don't have any stamping plate that have a pattern that would allow coloring inside,  I chose to draw some balloons and fill them with colors, as a festive thing for my classmates' graduation.

Easter Nails!

Hope everyone had a lovely Easter! I didn't have the time to post this manicure yesterday but today isn't too late either (or is it?). :D

Happiness

Hello! ^_^
Today, in Romania, we celebrate Children's Day so I decided to paint my nails with bright colors to make them look happy and childish. I added a few caviar balls and glitter to make them look even brighter and more colorful.
I used the sponge technique and mixed the colors on a palette before applying them on my nails.
What do you think?

The Polishes Challenge: 2. Two colors - Going purple!

Hello! ^_^
I don't have much to say this week- I'm pretty busy with exams & stuff  -_-" but I had to make time to paint my nails...
This week's challenge was with two untried nail polishes so I decided it's time to try something with my favorite color, in two shades.

Fairy Tale - Hansel & Gretel by the Grimm Brothers

Hello! :D
This week I'm showing you my Fairy Tale inspired manicure. I was inspired by the Grimm Brothers' story - "Hansel & Gretel", one of my favorite bedtime stories as a child.
I've seen many challenges like this on Nail Art blogs but I never had the courage to try it till Tip Top issued this topic in their contest.
Tell me what you think! ^_^

Velvet nails

This is my first attempt at Velvet nails. I think it turned out pretty well, what do you say? ^_^

I made a small tutorial for anyone that's interested. Unfortunately the pictures didn't turn out so well so it's more of a stept by step guide...

And here is a bonus, my latest entry for the Tip Top contest I was telling you about in the previous posts! :D

Sparkly Magical Night

I recently bought some new nail polishes from Avon - a dark blue one, a glittery silver one and a silver one which creates mosaic effects. I loved them so much that I used them in a simple manicure, just to show how wonderful they look. The pictures don't do them justice, though...

Fruits!

This was one of my last summer-related manicures... *frowns*
I found a kiwi manicure on Google and that's where it all started.. my own FRUIT THEME!
I wanted a fun theme, colorful and bright which turned out looking pretty yummy. ^_^
The colors I used were bright and I tried to draw the fruits as accurate as I could, cut in half: apples, kiwis, blueberries, strawberries and watermelon slices.
Enjoy! :D

Here is a bonus photo with my manicure and Ale's (one of my best friends) nails! ^_^

Mary Poppins

I've recently watched the Mary Poppins movie and it reminded me of my childhood and how nice and simple everything was back then. *daydreams*
Soooo I decided to try and paint my nails as a tribute for this wonderful story and for the great actors that gave life to some of my favorite characters of all time... :)
Here is what I managed to come up with:

Spots & dots

I wanted to try this Splatter Nails Tutorial but I gave up because I do not own any acrylic nail polish, so I invented my own technique. I used a toothbrush and I just pressed it really quickly onto my nails, after applying regular nail polish on it... I used a white base and "all the colors of the rainbow".
I  bought a few bright neon colors last week and I wanted to try them, so I thought this would be a fun and interesting way to see how they look together.
I think they turned out really nice and they add a touch of happiness to the last days of summer...
