Saturday's Theme - Unicorn

Hello, nail art lovers!

I was reeeeally looking forward to this week's theme, as I knew my manicure would turn out super pretty! :D And I am, indeed, very proud of the result!

This is the first time I painted a unicorn on my nails, as well as the first time I used nail foil from Born Pretty Store (#18, you can find it here) and I absolutely loved the result!

Nail Art Marathon 2015 - 14. Velvet Nails

"OMG! Sooo fuzzy!" was the reaction of my friends when I met them, wearing velvet nails. :P

The theme was chosen by me and, at that time I was thinking I could do a cute design using velvet powder on my super long nails. Well, bummer. Since my nails broke, I had to come up with another idea and I played with colors instead of shapes.

Hey there!

Oana's idea for this week was to use the lead-light technique and I did it... my way! :P

Since I don't have any stamping plate that have a pattern that would allow coloring inside,  I chose to draw some balloons and fill them with colors, as a festive thing for my classmates' graduation.

Nail Art Marathon 2015 - 3. Neon Nails

It's Saturday Sunday and I'm going to show you this week's challenge, chosen by Vanyna - neon nails!

When I first saw the list of themes I thought "OMG! I need to start buying more polishes!" since I only remembered having two neon nail polishes. To my surprise, when I checked my collection, I noticed a lot of polishes I had forgotten all about (shame on me, neglecting my "babies" in such a way!). Finding so many neon colors gave me a new idea than what I had initially planned to do on my nails. Here is the result:

Autumn And Winter Holidays Challenge - 10. New Year's Eve

Last manicure of the year! I'm so excited! ^_^

This manicure is part of the collaboration that started in October but I wasn't able to participate in, due to the number of classes I had to attend and other events. I did, however, participate in the first two challenge - the Halloween manicure - with which I won a contest on another blog, and the falling leaves theme - but I abandoned afterwards (not proud).

Anyway, the manicure I want to show you today is inspired by fireworks and their pretty colors. ^_^
I've always loved fireworks and I probably always will admire them (from a safe distance, since I'm a very self-conscious scaredy cat).

Alphabet nail art challenge - Letter V for... vortex!

The letter "V" was one of the few letters that did not make me ask every person I knew about words that start with it and for inspiration afterwards. I had talked to my boyfriend (just for fun) about the option of him doing my nails and he said he would probably manage to do spirals (he doubts his artistic talent), so I instantly thought about the word "Vortex". 

I used that idea to create these nails:

Alphabet nail art challenge - Letter P for.. Poison

Soooo... letter P... poison!

Yeah... not much to say about this theme since it was a last moment idea (again). ^_^

I used a holographic nail polish as a base, then a matte top coat to obtain the smoky effect. I drew the vials using acrylic paint and the "poison" is painted using textured nail polishes. I love the color explosion! ^_^

The nails on my right hand are really short compared to my left hand but they're growing slowly so I decided to show them to you anyway. :D

And now... this week's disaster! :(

My thumb's nail broke in two, as you can see, and nothing from superglue to tea bags & clear nail polish could fix it... In the next posts you will see how it looks after I reconstructed it using gel.  (Temporary thing, until my natural nail grows back)

Alphabet nail art challenge - Letter J for... Jigsaw! :D

This week I've been playing around with themes and colors, trying to find something right for the theme. I thought about "Jade" (too monochrome for me), "Jasmine" (Disney, you're to blame for this!) or "Justice" (too much law school already) and, being puzzled, I settled for "Jigsaw" (pun intended :P ).

Birthday Nails 2013

Hey everyone!
I got my laptop repaired (finally) and even though I had a busy week (my birthday was this Tuesday), I managed to paint my nails twice so I'm gonna show you two manicures today! :D

Am dus laptopul la reparat (in sfarsit) si, chiar daca am avut o saptamana incarcata (a fost ziua mea, marti), am reusit sa-mi fac unghiile de doua ori, asa ca astazi am sa va arat doua manichiuri! :D

T.P.A. Group Challenge: 11. Inspired by lollipop nails

Another week, another short post!
My laptop is going to the "doctor" on Wednesday and I didn't have time to take pictures during the day so they're a bit blurry. Sorry. I promise to take better ones of the future manicures!
Also, my nails are of different sizes and shapes, due to the course I'm taking (they're making "experiments" on my nails :(( ) so please focus on the nail art, not on my manicure! :o3

O noua saptamana, o noua postare!
Laptopul meu va merge la "doctor" miercuri si nu am avut timp sa fac poze in timpul zilei asa ca pozele au o calitate mai slaba. Imi pare rau. Promit sa fac poze mai bune viitoarelor manichiuri!
De asemenea, unghiile mele au diferite forme si dimensiuni, datorita cursului pe care il fac (fetele fac "experimente" pe unghiile mele :(( ) asa ca va rog sa va uitati la model, nu la manichiura! :o3

Inspired by a toy/ Inspirata de o jucarie

Hello everyone! Today's post is about a manicure inspired by a toy I love! ^_^

Buna tuturor! Manichiura de azi e inspirata de o jucarie la care tin foarte mult! ^_^

It's a punk-ish Rainbow Hedgehog with a belly button that I received a few years ago from my parents (yes, they still consider and treat me like a kid). I love his bright colors and the fact that he's incredibly soft. <3

E un Arici Curcubeu mai punk, cu buric, pe care l-am primit acum cativa ani de la ai mei ( da, ei inca ma considera si ma trateaza ca pe un copil). Ador culorile lui vesele si faptul ca e incredibil de moale. <3
