December's nails challenge - Christmasy

Hello, nail art lovers and Merry Christmas!

As you've probably guessed, in today's post I will show you what I am wearing this weekend, which is, of course, X-Mas themes, as well. :D

Lately, I've been pretty keen on glitter and I've added it to most of my manicures. Today's won't be very different, as I've found two new polishes, that I've fallen in love with, in my Advent Calendar.

December's nails challenge - Sparkle-icious, baby!

Hello, nail art lovers!

This week's manicure is definitely one of my favorites this year! I didn't spend much time doing it, but the result is still incredibly sparkly and gorgeous, in my opinion.
Unfortunately, I broke a nail last week and I couldn't build a new one yet, so if you nice that one is thicker than the rest, it's because it's a fake nail I filed down to match the others.
Anyway, enough talking an let's see my nails!

December's Nails Challenge - White

Hello, nail art lovers!

I can't wait to show you my manicure for this challenge! The girls said it was ok to combine white with something else, so here's what I came up with.

December's Nail Art Challenge - Winter animal

Hello, nail art lovers!

Are you ready for this week's challenge?

I really enjoyed doing my manicure and painting cute winter animals on them; take a look at what I have prepared for this week:

I chose polar bears!

November's Nail Challenge - Patchwork nails

Hello, nail art lovers!

I'm finally the first to post on the weekly theme, yay!
That's actually because I mixed up themes last week and my nails were done a week in advance, hehe. Here is my manicure:

November's Nails Challenge - Owls

Hi everyone!

I can't wait to show you my nails today! I'm really happy with how they turned out!  :D
The theme, as you can see, was "owls" and even though I am late, I did put a lot of thought into it and I tried my best to get it to look pretty. Here is the result:

November's Nails Challenge - Sweater Nails

Hello, nail art lovers!

It's been a full week for me, and I finally got the time to post my nail fail.
I don'treally have much to say about this, so I'll let the first picture speak, instead:

November's Nail Challenge - Dreamcatcher

Hello, nail art lovers!

I'm sorry for posting this late, but I've had a very busy weekend, followed by a horrible cold.
Anyway, my manicure was ready since last Wednesday, so it's only fair to show it to you, without further ado:

October's Nail Challenge - Halloween

Boo!

Did that scare you? No? Great! Because my nails won't, either!
This year I chsoe to go with something classy for Halloween, but still in the ghoul-ish spirit. (see what I did there?) I reinterpreted a Candy Corn and this is what I came up with:

October's Nails Challenge - Glow in the dark

Hello, nail art lovers!
Another one of my favorite themes this month is here: Glow in the dark!
You've probably seen some of my manicures that had glow in the dark elements, before, but this time I actually managed to take some clear pictures in the dark, as well. ^_^

October's Nail Challenge - Blood Splatter

Hello, nail art lovers!

My post was super late this week because I completely forgot to take my camera home with me. Anyway, the theme was "Blood splatter", a theme that allowed me to get very creative and come up with a background story for my nails.

October's Nail Challenge - Duo-chrome

Hello, nail art lovers!

Are you ready to see another nail fail? *giggles* For this week's challenge, we had to use a duo-chrome nail polish. As I only own one, Oriflame The One - Gold Nacre, I had to use it on my nails.

October's Nail Challenge - Something Black

Hello, nail art lovers! ^_^

This week's theme, the first from October's challenge, made me very happy. As you probably noticed, I love black nails and most of my manicures are either black or have a black element in them. This non-color is my favorite to wear and to surround myself with.

September's Nail Challenge - Studded

Hello, nail art lovers!

This theme was one of my favorites so far, and probably my favorite for September: studs/studded. I don't have many types of studs, but I sure like creating manicures with the ones I've got.

This time I went for a red/black/silver combo with Gothic accents. Here it is:

Septembers Nails Challenge - Textured

Hello, nail art lovers!

Sorry for late posting but I had some difficulties with this theme. Most of my textured nail polishes have dried up and I was running out of time so I chooses two and did something simple... which got ruined overnight. I had to redo it yesterday, but the polishes I used disappointed me again.

September’s Nails Challenge - Triangles

Hello, nail art lovers!

Today's manicure was inspired by two things: the phases of the moon and my favorite band, 30 Seconds to Mars.
Since the theme was "triangles", I chose to go with a black to white gradient, that looked similar to one of the phases of the moon and the band's logo - a triangle split at the middle.

September's Nail Challenge - Seasonal

Hello, nail art lovers!

September is here and so is out first challnge for the month. "Something seasonal" was the description for the theme. Well, according to the weather outside, it's pretty much summer, but the calendar says otherwise.

So, here is my take on today's theme:

August's Nail Challenge - Camouflage nails

Hello nail art lovers!

This week we have August's last them - Camouflage nails. The theme is not among my favorites, but I did wear this manicure for a week before I managed to take pictures.

Aug 20, 2016

August's Nail Challenge - Metallic Nails

Hello, nail art lovers!

As I've mentioned in my previous post, one of my nails broke so I had to file down all of them. Since the ones on the left hand are suuuper tiny, you'll probably be seeing more of my right hand for the next few weeks.

This week's theme is "metallic nails", something I really like. I chose to interpret it the regular way, by choosing a metallic nail polish, and the fun way, by decorating the manicure with silver chains. Metal, eh?

August's Nail Challenge - Gradient/Ombre

Hello, nail art lovers!

Another week, another post in the lovely challenge we have ongoing! This time we had to choose between a gradient and an Ombre. The main difference between these two is that the gradient is a succession of colors on one nail, going from dark to light, or the other way around and the Ombre consists of applying different nail polishes from the same color specter onto each nail, going one tone lighter or darker as you move onto the other nail.

I chose to go with a gradient, because I love this technique - not obvious enough so far, eh?

August's Nail Challenge - Monochrome

Hello, nail art lovers!

This week we're taking you down memory lane, back to the times when all pictures were black and white. That being said, you'll be able to see multiple b&w nails and enjoy the beauty of simplicity. Don't worry, it's just a challenge we're taking up, next week you'll see an explosion of colors, again.

July's Nail Challenge - Swatch

Hello, fellow polish addicts!

Today you will see something I don't do very often: a swatch! *giggles*
The nail polish I chose is Avon Cosmic Effect - Eclipse and I noticed it's a pretty popular holographic polish among bloggers.

There isn't much to say about this, since I just added two coats of nail polish on my nails and took some pictures, however, I decided to test other of the nail polish's qualities, so read the whole thing to find out more!

July's Nails Challenge - Favorite Pattern

Hello, nail art lovers!

Are you ready for some abstract nail art? Since last week's manicure turned out the way it did, I decided to try some freehand nail art for this theme, to make up for that disaster. The theme helped a lot since I like challenges, and painting a pattern that won't look exactly the same way on each nail but also stay true to the initial idea was an actual challenge.

Here's what I came up with:

July's Nail Challenge - V Shape

Hello, nail art lovers!

Are you ready to see my fail manicure? ( not my regular introduction, eh?)
For this week's theme I tried to recreate one of Simply Nailogical's manicures, the Neon Chevron Scaled Gradient Skittle one, to be more precise, and ended up with 4 big fails out of which I will show you the least horrible one.

I used Younique as an inpiration for my nails!

Hello, nail art lovers... and make-up lovers!

I know you're only used to seeing manicures on my blog, but this is somewhat related to nails, as well. ^_^
As I said in my previous post, I am going to show you what inspired this manicure of mine:

The inspiration for my manicure is more interesting than the manicure itself and now I am going to tell you why.

About two weeks ago I received a parcel from the US containing Younique make-up products that I won in April. The person who is promoting the products, Erica, spoke so highly of them that I was very curious to try everything myself. When they arrived, I realized that what she was saying was very true and I had to share my experience with these amazing products, with you all.

This time, I chose to show you the lovely Younique Splurge in the Dainty shade, which is the exact same color as my Avon Mineral Crush nail polish, in the Pearl shade.

Can you see how alike they are? :D I love this product so much that I had to dedicate a manicure to it. It's creamy, smooth and lasts on my eye lids all day, without becoming bulky and getting stuck in my eyelid fold.
I usually do my make-up in a "cat eye" style so the dark line from my manicure would be represented by Younique's Moodstruck Precision Liquid Eyeliner in the Perfect shade, on my eyes.

Since I never wear my nails in one color, I used another nail polish from the same collection, but in the Rose Quartz shade that matched the Lip Bonbons's cute package. This product is a creamy lip balm that colors your lips in sheer shades of red or pink. Mine's is Cherry Cobbler and it might be my imagination but it even smells a bit like cherries and vanilla.

And here are both nail polishes I used:

If you want to find out more about these awesome make-up products you can ask Erica on her web page - www.ericasmajesticlashes.com, where you can also see all the available products. She has parties running all the time and Younique offers awesome Kudos every month!

Are you interested in make-up products as much as you are into nail art? Let me know and I might do posts like this one more often!

Read you next time, byeee! ^_^

July's Nail Challenge - Negative Space

Hello, nail art lovers!

As you can see from the title, this week's challenge was to do a manicure with some negative space. I dislike this type of nail art because I like nails fully polished, however, I decided to give it a chance and interpret it in my own way. ^_^

I did a twist on the classic french manicure, that also contains some negative space, as it is.  :D
The inspiration for my manicure is more interesting than the manicure itself, so please read on, to find out what it was and keep an eye on my blog for a post explaining everything!

4th of July

Hello, nail art lovers! ^_^

Today is a special day and I want to wish Happy Independence Day to USA, on my nails. The idea of doing my nails to celebrate this event came from an American friend, Steph, who showed me her cute nail art for this occasion.

If you want to learn more about this celebration, click here. :D

July's Nail Challenge - Fruitylicious

Hello, fruit lovers! Oh wait... I meant nail art lovers!

Now that I "accidentally" disclosed the theme, I might as well carry on and give you the details.
Today's theme is all about fruits. I chose to interpret it in my way and give fruits personalities and cute looks. :D

June's Nail Challenge - Neon

Hello, nail art lovers!

How are you coping with the summer heat? Are you the type that goes out and gets their skin tanned or the "me" type that stays indoors painting their nails? No matter which type you are, today's manicure should suit both.

Every summer I get my neon colors out and use them a looot... I go neon and on and on... :P This summer will probably be the same so.. let's get started!

June's Nail Challenge: I scream For Ice Cream!

Olla! ^_^

It's been really hot outside lately, don't you think? Hmm.. what would we need to cool down a bit? A drink, maybe a bath in the pool... a fresh lemonade...or ice cream? Well, I, for sure, scream for an Ice Cream when having to deal with this hot weather!

The girls from The Polish Addict had the same idea so, this week, without further introduction, we have... ICE CREAM NAILS!

June's Nail Challenge - Sea Beauty

Hello, nail art lovers!

Here I am - on time, this time (hihi) - with a new post from June's Challenge: Sea Beauty. I really love the sea and I miss it a lot, so I thought about what I love most about it and tried to reproduce that on my nails.

My manicure is simple, but I believe it turned out beautiful.

June's Nail Challenge - Hello, Summer!

Hello, nail art lovers!

Sorry for the delay, again, but I just got my laptop from service and I had an extra busy weekend: two of my friends got married. The wedding was lovely and I will show you the nails I had to match my dress.

Anyway, back to our weekly theme. Last week we said "Hello, Summer!" with vibrant colors and nice patterns, gradients and whatnot. My choice was to mix three colors and create something similar to the splatter nail art.

May's Nail Challenge - Pond Manicure

Hello again, nail art loves!

This time I'm gonna post on time, yeee-haw! :)))
To make up for last week's late post that had little pictures and a gloomy text, I'm going to give you a detailed description of how I did my nails today. Are you ready? Start reading!

May's Nail Challenge - Nautical

Hello, nail art lovers!

I'm sorry for being so late to this collaboration, but, in my defense, you would not want a week(end) like the one I had. I'm honestly glad it's over, like most of this week is, as well.

Anyway, enough small talk and let's get down to nail art. The theme was"Nautical" and my nails were painted to fit in:

May's Nail Challenge - Cherrylicious

Hello, polish addicts!

What's your favorite fruit? What about your favorite dessert?
What do you think about vanilla or strawberry pudding with some chocolate syrup? How about if you add some cherries on top? That's what I have represented on my nails now! ^_^

May's Nail Challenge - Accent nail

Hello, everyone!

Today's theme is not a challenge at all, since all we had to do was one accent nail. As you know, I rarely wear a simple manicure and I did not make an exception this time, either.

My manicure is inspired by an anime that I'm currently watching - Soul Eater - and, to be more exact, a character from the anime, called Medusa. She's a powerful witch that uses vectors and snakes to get what she wants. Not only is she cunning and gorgeous, but she has a great taste in nail art, too! :))

To sum up, my nails are a copy of her manicure ( I didn't figure it out if the arrows were pointing towards the tip or the base of the nail, so I went with what looked better) and the accent nail is her portrait. ^_^

May's Nails Challenge - Happy Easter

Hello and Happy Easter to those who celebrate it! ^_^

This week I don't have many words for you and I don't have many pictures, either, but I hope I can compensate next week.

April's Nails Challenge - Pretty in Polka Dotts

Hello, nail art lovers!

What's new? How have you been?
This week was tiring and frustrating for me, and I managed to break a nail, as well, so I had to file all of them down, a bit. My manicure for thsi theme was done since last week, but I went to bed right after doing it and woke up with the worst smudged nails, ever! I only found time ro redo them after I filed them down and even though I did not keep all the original elements, I like how it turned out.

The theme, as you can see, it " Pretty in Polka Dots", so I chose to mix polka dots with flowers and a lady Polar Bear that feels pretty, since yesterday was Earth Day.

April’s Nails Challenge - Flower Power

A new week, a new challenge, a new manicure!

As you've probably noticed, I don't have many floral manicures since floral patterns are not really my thing. This time I was actually considering skipping this challenge until I received a package from Born Pretty Store, which contained, among other awesome things, these lovely round pieces of neon glitter. ^_^

That's when inspiration hit me!

April’s Nails Challenge - Match Your Outfit

Hello, nail art lovers!

This week I am going to show you a manicure inspired by a skirt I had a while back (but doesn't fit me anymore). I found some similar dresses on Google and I'm going to attach the pictures below.

Aprils' Nails Challenge - Colorful stripes/Chevron

Hello, nail art lovers!

Today I'm going to show you a  striped manicure that started as a spring-inspired one but ended up very autumnal. :))) I wanted to use a new nail polish I bought from Kinga and these were the colors I thought would look best with it.

March's Nails Challenge - Flakies

Another week, another challenge!

This week, the last weekend of March, I am going to show you a manicure that's very simple but elegant, in my opinion. It didn't require much effort, just a bit if patience.

March's Nails Challenge - Pastel

Hello, lovely readers!

This week's theme was so bright and colorful that I wore my manicure for more than 3-4 days, as I usually do, just because I loved it that much! I have done something similar in the past, but, this time, the result is more spectacular. Here are my pastel nails:
