I had so many ideas for today's theme, all of them involving the colors mostly associated with Goths - red and black. I looked up some patterns associated with the theme but decided to switch colors and chose the only "other color that goths like: light black... otherwise known as... gray" (quote from Aurelio Voltaire). I still used black for the accent nail and for the embellishments.

Saturday's Theme - Jungle
Hello, nail art lovers!
This week I want to show you a manicure that took very little time to do, but was really hard to photograph. I'm still not completely pleased with the pictures, but I can assure you that my nails look a lot better in real life. ^_^

Saturday's Theme - Holo
Hello, nail art lovers! ^_^
This week's theme is really fun and I couldn't wait to do my nails. I even bought some awesome holographic nail polishes and nail foil, however, my camera could not do them justice.
Here are my holographic nails, that look quite simple, unfortunately:

February's Nails Challenge - Gradient
Hello,
Last Saturday of the month and, also, last challenge of the month are "finally" here and I want to show you one of my best gradients so far. I know there is still room for improvement, but, so far, this is still my favorite technique. ^_^

Snowflakes on my nails! - BPS Stamping Plate BP-L032 Review
Happy New Year!!!
I want to start this year's first post by telling you that I had to cut my nails shorter than they've been for the past 3-4 months and that I absolutely love how they look! You weren't expecting that, were you? ^_^
But loooook! Aren't they adorable?
Anyway, this post isn't about how cute my short nails are, it's about the Birthday gift I received from bornprettystore.com :
Because the post usually arrives late where I live, I received the parcel right after Christmas, and even though the plate is meant for X-mas, we still have a couple of months of winter (and it just started snowing in Romania) so I will use it as much as I can. :D
Today I have for you a review of the plate, it's named BP-L032 - Xmas Snowflake Nail Art Stamp Template Christmas Image Plate, and like the other plates I own from them (you can see the reviews here and here) was super easy to use. The snowflakes pattern was transferred perfectly onto the stamper and then onto my nails.
Cleaning it was very fast and easy, as well, and I was impressed by how delightful stamping can be, with a high-quality plate. As I've said before, I haven't been disappointed by any of the BPS products, so far. :D
The price is very good, as well, only $5.99 for a big plate with loads of patterns to choose from.
The nail polishes I used are: Essence The Gel 33 Wild White Ways as a base, China Glaze - UV Meant to Be and Astor Laque Deluxe 595 VIP Silver for stamping, Flormar 392 to add a little sparkle.
I used the double stamping technique and the result was really magical, in my opinion. The snowflakes looked so cute in this color combo.
Here is a macro shot of my thumb nail, where you can see how perfect the design was transferred:

Born Pretty Store - Stamping Plate, Stamper and Stamping Polish Review
Hello, everyone!
Today I made a review for three products from Born Pretty Store, my little "stamping kit" as I got to call it. :D
To be honest, it's all you need to get started with stamping, something that I'm rather new at, as well. The items are: the BP-03 stamping plate (which I've wanted since forever!), Kand - special nail polish for stamping and the stamper I got from Oana for my b'day.
As with the other BPS stamping plates that I own ( you can see the review here) it was super easy to use. The pattern transferred perfectly onto the stamper and then onto my nail. Cleaning it was very easy, as well, and I was impressed by how easy stamping can be with a high-quality plate.

This is the plate I've wanted the most from all the BPS stamping plates. It's so lovely! I like the roses, the cats, and, most of all, the swirly design. <3
The plate is listed under the name: Black Cat & Rose Theme Nail Art Stamp Template Image Plate and you can buy it for $2.24 on www.bornprettystore.com.
The first time I tried stamping I used some think nail polishes, which were recommended to me by others. They worked fine so I thought that a good stamping polish must be a little thicker than regular polish. When I opened this bottle I noticed that the polish was very liquid and I thought to myself - is this any good?
I pushed it aside for a while but decided to try it in the end. I couldn't have been more wrong about it! Even though the consistency is thin, the polish is highly pigmented and great for stamping!
This nail polish is, indeed, the best I've tried for stamping, so far, but I also found something about it that I did not like as much - it stains the skin. My fingers were blue after I used it and acetone could not remove it at all. Only after I had washed my hands for 3-4 times the color disappeared.
Still, I will use it again, and you can find it on the website under the name: 10ml High Quality Nail Art Template Stamping Polish Varnish, for $3.35.
Ok, so, I have nothing to say about this stamper but "WOW"! It's really great! It has two gummy sides, a big white one - very soft and perfect for full nail patterns, and a tiny, rubbery one - ideal for tiny designs.
This made stamping so much fun! It's easy to use, easy to clean and gets the pattern from the stamping plate and onto the nail perfectly. I'm honestly considering buying a few more, just in case, haha!
You can find it on the website, in the Nail Art section, under this name: 3Pcs/Set Hot-sell Double Sided Stamping Nail Art Stamper & Scraper and for only $2.94. I highly recommend you buy it!

Nail Art Marathon 2015 - 3. Glitter placement
Hey there!
This week we have another challenge from Vanyna - glitter placement! :D
I really like the idea of playing with glitter, but I don't have a lot of inspiration these days, so I went with something simple, matte and glittery at the same time. ^_^
I did spice it up with a few studs from Born Pretty Store, and I think it looks pretty good, in the end.

Born Pretty Store - Color Changing Polish 103 - Review
Hello everyone!
Recently I have been contacted by Born Pretty Store to choose a bunch of nail art products from their site, test them and write some reviews. I found the idea very appealing since I've been drooling over their products for quite a while so I said yes. After a while I received my first package from them and the products I chose to review smiled at me from a pretty little pack: two stamping plates, a stamping nail polish and a color changing nail polish - I was so excited!
Today I am going to tell you my opinion about... dum dum duuuum! The color changing nail polish, which you can find here. ^_^

Inspired by a pattern or outfit
Hello! :D
This week's post is going to be a special one because it will have two parts. The first one will be the part where I show you my manicure and tell you a bit about it and the second one will be a review for one of my first Born Pretty Store stamping plates, which will be on the blog next week. :D
Today's challenge was to create a manicure inspired by a pattern or outfit and it was Andrea's idea. On her blog you will see quite a few manicures inspired by pieces of clothing, a theme I really like, so you should check out some of her older posts as well.
I have done three manicures inspired by outfits before, but this is the first time I did a complex design. You can see two of them here and here. The third isn't featured on the blog, but it is relevant because it was inspired by a sari, just like the one I will show you today. :D
